Instructors

Nacole Smith, Managing Director, Instructor, B.A., LMT, NASM-CPT

I have a passion for weightlifting and gymnastics. Growing up I was a competitive cheerleader and then cheered for Drury University. I have coached gymnastics, cheerleading, physical education, aquatic exercise and various group exercise classes.

I am interested in aerial fitness, partner acrobatics and calisthenics training. To improve performance, reduce pain and stress, I became interested in the benefits of massage therapy. I graduated from Wellspring School of Allied Health and am a Licensed Massage Therapist. Massage therapy school added to the knowledge I gained from earning a degree in Exercise Physiology from Drury University.

Balance Tumbling and Balance Massage Studio merge all of my experiences and interests into one place. My goal is to offer a place for adults to continue practicing the skills they love and give children a place to develop a strong foundation of strength, flexibility, body control and love for movement.

Paramount to my love for Balance Tumbling and Balance Massage Studio, is my faith in Jesus and love for my family. I have been married for 20 years to Bo Smith and we have three beautiful daughters. I am thankful for the opportunity to open a family friendly facility and to partner with others to pursue new goals and dreams.

Jess Green, Gymnastics Instructor

As a gymnast for thirteen years and a figure skater for ten, Jess is no stranger to independent sports that require focus, dedication, and balance. After a ten-year hiatus from gymnastics, she came out of retirement and rediscovered her love for the sport through adult classes at Balance Tumbling & Acrobatics.

Jess is ecstatic to share her experience and love for the sport with young gymnasts and adults. Whether you plan on competing or are just here for some fun, we will focus on the building blocks of basic gymnastics skills that will set you up for success for your entire gymnastics journey.

Jess' motto: Point your toes!"

Leah Haines, Acro Instructor

Leah started her AcroYoga practice 7 years ago with a YouTube video and a love of falling. She is the co-founder of Queen City Acro (located in Southwest Missouri) and has been teaching and performing Acro since 2018. Although an L. Machine and Icarian flyer, she prides herself on being the primary standing base in her community.

When she's not flying on the feet of others, she is likely found flowing on her lyra (aerial hoop), painting the stuff of nightmares, or running an ultra-marathon.

Chelsea Campbell, Acro Instructor

Meet Chelsea, the dynamic and enthusiastic partner acrobatic instructor! With a passion for partner acrobatics that ignited in 2017, she has been on an incredible journey of self-discovery and strength. Partner acrobatics transformed her relationship with fitness, propelling her into a world she now couldn't imagine living without. Embracing the belief that partner acrobatics is for all bodies, Chelsea is dedicated to sharing her expertise and love for the practice. Outside of the gym you can often find her attending numerous Acro Festivals, always eager to learn and connect.
